In the new episode of her podcast Talk Tuah, Welch chats with longtime friend Chelsea Bradford about the crypto crash in December of her meme coin $HAWK, which led investors to file a lawsuit in New York against its creators. Welch became an overnight social media sensation last summer after her on-the-street interview with Tim & Dee TV in which she described a supposedly foolproof way to excite a man in the bedroom.

Hawk tuah girl cryptocurrency lawsuit
On Thursday, investors in the coin hit $HAWK’s creators with a lawsuit in New York federal court, seeking over $150,000 in damages and alleging they’d lost thousands on the coin, which they claimed was an illegal unregistered security.
Internet star Haliey Welch, also known as the “Hawk Tuah Girl,” said Friday she is “fully cooperating” with attorneys who are representing people impacted by the recent crash of crypto meme coin $HAWK.
The suit includes a dozen plaintiffs who claim to have collectively lost more than $150,000. It alleges that the defendants “leveraged Welch’s celebrity status and connections” and “created a speculative frenzy” in order to jack up the coin’s price as trading began, luring in “first-time cryptocurrency participants” who were drawn to the project as fans of Welch. The complaint contends that Schultz and So violated securities laws, and even indicated their efforts to skirt those laws on the Spaces call. It notes, too, that $HAWK was never registered with the SEC.
